Oh wow, what a night! Last night I was brushing my teeth about 12:30ish, and someone came and rang our doorbell and was banging on our door. I went to the door, pretty annoyed, and the kid from upstairs was there asking where our RA was. I didnt even hear a word he was saying because behind him was basically a waterfall running off the stairs onto the floor right outside of our apartment. I was wondering what the heck was going on!!! Apparently (I found this story out later) the boys upstairs were playing with air-soft guns and it hit the wall, bounced off, and hit the sprinkler in the kitchen and set it off. As soon as this happened, everyone in the apartment grabbed whatever they could that could hold water, filled them up, passed them out the door, and threw it down the stairs. About 15 minutes of continuous water piling in our hallway, our floor was COVERED with water. T
here was about 3-4 inches of standing water covering our entire kitchen floor and going down our hallway. It had also leaked through our wall into our living room. It was a disaster! After about 2 hours of madness, 30 people standing outside of our house just watching, fire engines and firefighters cussing dumb college kids, sweeping the water out for an hour, roommate bonding, and realizing we will never have to mop our floor again,we were finally done! It was about 2:45 by the time we all got to bed, and it is definitely something we will never forget!! Oh and by the way, lexe missed the whole thing! She went to Thriller with her grandparents and ended up sleeping over! Wow did she miss out!
