3472 Miles away, and he is still my best friend.

I know, you are probably sick of him, but I am not :) 

I havent heard from him in FOREVER because mail there sucks. It takes 3 full weeks for him to get a letter and 3 weeks for me to get one back. Not to mention, its like $5 to send just one letter and a little while ago he got robbed and they took all his money, so he cant send very many letters home. Plus the lady who was sending his letters for him, didn't ever send it for him, so he found out today that it still hadn't been sent. Yea it sucks. I havent gotten a letter for almost 4 months. 

I have been having Tanner withdrawls, so last week I asked his mom if she could email him something for me (cause he isnt allowed to email me). I just wanted to tell him about putting my papers in. He wrote back about 3 paragraphs and it was so great! Made my whole day. So this week I went to lunch with his cute mom and while we were there we were talking about Tanner and it made me miss him. 

So this weekend I emailed her and asked her if she would write him again. I told him that I missed him because who was I gonna skip class with to watch the March madness games with (thats what we did all last year)? Then I just told him how proud I was of him and that I missed him. This is what I got back (the last line in spanish, is an inside joke, so dont worry, you probably wont understand it):

surprise two!!! SUMMER OMG!!! WHAT I WOULD GIVE TO SKIP CLASS AND WATCH MARCH MADNESS!!!! AH!! i miss ya like CRAZY!! i cant believe you are getting your call!! ECUADOR HERE YOU COME!!! and its ok to be sentimental, cuz seriously your my best friend and i miss you more than anyone apart from my fam, and as for the letter well my lady failed me and didnt get the job done so this week its coming.. and i know your gonna get it way late but a letter is a letter write!? dont get mad!!! please!!! haha oh man what the heck are we gonna be like after our missions...... WEIRD!!! haha who knows!? but what i do know is that we are FBFs for LIFE!!! miss ya summer and ill definitely shoot a few prayers your way!

How freaking great is he? I just miss him like crazy and cant wait till we both get home from our missions! I know things will never be the same, but its a nice thing to think about. Oh man, its days like today that just make me wish that he was back here again. Thank heavens for emailing :) Love you Elder Laub! And I am SOO proud of you!
