Timing is everything.

So this is one of my new favorite quotes: 

Patience is something that I learned on the mission. There are many ways you learn patience on the mission, whether it be with your companion, or with investigators or even with yourself. This is something that I really needed to learn, and I improved a lot, but I have a LONG LONG way to go. 

Think about our lives: 

Want to tell someone you are on your way? 

shoot them a text, 3 seconds.

Want a full meal without lifting a finger?

Call in take out and be mad when they aren't there in 30 minutes.

Want to watch your favorite show even though you missed it? 

Hulu it. 

Want to know if the Yankees are winning? 

Check the app on your phone

Get what I'm saying? Patience doesn't exist because in this world, it doesn't have to. 

I am learning quickly that in the land of love, patience is a virtue. I have to concisely think every day that patience is what I need, and that the above quote applies in full swing! If we say that we have faith in God, we also need to have faith that his plan will take affect if and WHEN he wants it to. Just because I want something to happen, and I want it now, I need to remember that its not up to me. Its up to the Lord and if I am doing what I need to be doing, I need to have faith that he will take care of me :)
