false alarms are known to cause heart attacks.

WOW. Talk about false alarms. Last night we had just gotten to Park City for the night (we are staying here for the week) when I got a phone call from Josh's little sister. She proceeded to tell me that Josh's dad was in the hospital and he wasn't doing very well. He has a number of things wrong with him that is causing his body to shut down and they didn't know if he was going to make it through the night. They called Josh's mission president and he told them that it was Josh's choice. I hadn't heard anything so I just went to bed last night and slept through the night, of course while having a dream that he came home.
This morning, I woke up to my phone vibrating really loudly. I thought it was just my alarm so I kinda just ignored it, but it didn't stop. I looked at it and it was a number I didn't recognize. I was waiting for a call from a doctors office so, because I was kinda out of it, I thought it was them. It was Josh. He said, "I dunno if you have heard, but my dad is sick, and I am hoping to be home by tomorrow morning."
HOLY CRAP. I just about died. When you are waiting for 1 single day for 2 solid years, and then all of a sudden the day changes, and it happens to be the next morning, your body tends to freak out. I just about hyperventilated.
Don't get me wrong, I am super excited for him to come home, and I just cant wait, but to have that thrown at you, is a little overwhelming!!! Wow.
So while I was trying to focus on getting ready for work, while really thinking about what I was going to say, what I was going to wear, and what I was going to do, I got another phone call. It was him again. He said that he just got off the phone with his aunt, and his dad was improving, so he was going to stay out and just check in on his dad weekly.

Lets just say it has been a little bit of an emotionally draining day. seriously. this kinda thing could kill a girl. I am glad his dad is doing better, I am glad that he gets to finish out his mission the right way, and I am glad that I get another month to prepare :) plus...now I get to eat the rest of the skittles!
how weird is it that this picture was taken 2 years ago??
