Okay, well not today. But it sounds better than "My someday was Friday"
This weekend I had the opportunity to go through the Temple. I decided to go through the Oquirrh Mountain temple (for many reasons) and if you havent seen this temple, it is BEAUTIFUL. I loved it.
Since I was little I have said "Im going there someday" and I am grateful that my someday came.
Im not going to lie, since then I always thought I would be going to the temple with the one I marry by my side. I never thought that I would be going through for a mission, but now that it is here, I am glad that it happened that way. It was nice to go to to the temple for myself, not for anyone else. It was such a great opportunity and I loved every minute of it!!
Today (and yesterday) we, as saints, have had the opportunity to listen to Conference and it has been amazing. Today the prophet spoke, and it was on temples, which was a huge blessing for me considering I had just gone through. This is a little bit of what he had to say regarding temples:
"Each one stands as a beacon to the world, an expression of our testimony that God our Eternal Father lives, that he desires to bless us and, indeed, to bless his sons and daughters of all generations. Each of our temples is an expression of our testimony that life beyond the grave is as real and as certain as is our life here on earth."
I love President Monson.
If your goal is to go to the temple, like mine was, I encourage you to do everything you can to get there. No matter what you have to do to get there, it is worth it and I wouldnt trade it for anything. I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunities that I have to go to the temple often because we live in a place that allows us to. I know that we need to take advantage of that.
Thank you to everyone who was able to come with me :) I really appreciate it and love you all!
